Medical Resource Management
To all EMS Operators and CRM Providers,
I am seeking some guidance on how to establish a CRM course tailored for EMS Operations (fixed-wing and helicopter). Are there any suggestions on what topics to include in a CRM course where pilots, doctors and flight nurses and paramedics will attend?
Also, are there any case studies of recent or past EMS accidents where Human Error was sited as a contributing factor?Furthermore, are there any support material/references to facilitate the learning process?
Any support or suggestions will be appreciated!

I might be able to help you out with some basic info. I assume you want civil stuff. I dont have access until February. Nevertheless, might also be worthwhile emailing Bad Medicine (Medical and Health Forum mod). Currently overseas, but if you are not in a hurry, worth a try.

Just a suggestion, as you appear to be in Oz, you may want to contact Pearl Aviation in Darwin. There's a guy there who developed an excellent course for the pilots and Nurses on the Aero Medical contract - then again, my info is a few years old.
