Guys,
I am reporting current situation. You can see here and there some airline reps but the influence is really negligible.

It can always hit you at the end when you hold a carriers yearly conference (seen that with Bombardier).

Cheers

Airbubba and SaturnV:

Is there any chance that "Mother Jones" is connected to a group across the bay in downtown Berkeley (the large Univ. of CA. campus is there), who teach demonstrators how to create chaos and confusion :suspect: ? For example, at the 'World Trade' conference years ago in downtown Seattle. There probably is no connection.

Mother Jones’ own investigation shows that at least 1,600 Boeing commercial jets made between 1994 and 2001—many still flying—could have the same problems
Imagine that - MANY STILL FLYING!!!!

Is Mother Jones safe?

(Had to ask... )

Ignition Override, "Mother Jones" publishing offices are in San Francisco.

The magazine began publishing in the mid-1970's. My recollection, which may be faulty as I don't have a closet-full of back issues to check, is that, back then, it faithfully published American street prices for various 'brands' of substances that one typically finds in the coffee shops of Amsterdam. In fact, it may have been the bible of choice for those toking down the line.

In any event, "Mother Jones" still looks favorably on legalization of marijuana and some psychedelics.

I don't know whether a sativa haze can be blamed for their publishing a picture of a DC-10 fin to accompany their latest article on supposed misdeeds at Boeing-Wichita.

That DC-10 fin was likely the first "whitetail" they could grab.

What is the relevance of this fact to the article? AP, who ran the same story already in May, was founded in 1848, received 48 Pulitzer prices and has 242 bureaus worldwide. Must admit I don't know their position on legalization of canabis.

FAA reopened the case, maybe they had space cake for lunch?

C.K. - there is undoubtedly a "case" there, but it's a tempest in a teapot. Whatever is spent in pursuit of this is a diversion of resources from real safety issues like runway incursions.

Capt.KAOS 1st November 2005 13:32

barit1, I'm sure it all appear to be peanuts after all, but when my nail clipper is confiscated at the gate in the name of safety, it's good to know that at the other side experts will investigate the claim and not the magazine that publicized it...
