This is a disgrace. Euroceltic should make a statement to their staff and let them know what's happening. <img src="mad.gif" border="0">

ROLLER STAMP, Cant blame you for being pissed off
AFAIK none of these "press releases" came from
Euroceltic or the new owners as usual someone
leaked information to the press for who knows
what gain...

&gt;The full details of the deal have not yet been
&gt;finalised but a statement from the consortium is &gt;expected this week. It is understood to have put &gt;the deal together as part of a package for the
&gt;airline.

Information is not ready to be given out thats
why staff have not been informed yet the
above is correct "the deal has not been
finalised".

I think some signs were there for a while that ECY
were in trouble....

1/ Bad loads on LTN - LPL
2/ WAT timetable effected due to LPL route
Morning departure later - Evening arrival
earlier - Not good for business traveller.
3/ No advertising at WAT LTN or LPL
4/ Cost of ATP on LTN-LPL route
5/ Cost of Scotairways on LTN-LPL route
6/ Cost of engine on GECAH and now GECAT
7/ Cheap fares... They may as well paid the
passengers.
8/ And other embarrisments I will not say here ...

Now that the press have information im sure that
all will become clear sooner than later.

Ans both you and I will be involved in a better
ECY.

Even though I was only with ECY for a short time, I enjoyed every bit - a good little operation with very very good staff that as usual get stuffed through very bad management...

Tarek Nor - are you PPRuNing from Thailand ?

Best of luck to all in Halcyon House!

Gentle Giant 15th January 2002 04:23

Comes back to the old, old story of inexperienced management thinking it can run an airline.

The mistakes made were obvious to anyone who has been in the business for more than five minutes.

Just heard present owner sold out to an Irish Shipping chap....

Anymore info on what's happening? They are not very quick to tell the staff what's happening.
