What's going on at EuroCeltic?
I understand that EuroCeltic had problems with one of their Friendships over a week ago leading them to have to sub-charter to cover their Liverpool - Luton service. However there have been no flights at all on this route since 6th January.
Furthermore, if you try to book a flight on their Website for next week or the following week, the response is "no flights".
Has the route been dropped?

Did this route for them before xmas as a sub charter when their aircraft was in for a check. Loads then were pretty poor.
Believe this route was dropped by easy, and they were hoping to pick up on the back of them

Liverpool-London route. Been attempted by many and all given up. Since 87-Present
Manx
British Midland
VLM
EasyJet
Euroceltic?
On paper it looks like a possible route, but MAN has stronger links with BA and bmi. bmi found the MAN-LHR slow to take off, as BA had long established customer base.
And to be honest if BM could not get Liverpool-Heathrow to work, then to Luton has no chance.

No advertising at the Luton end, so how can folk know the route exists again?
I wonder if the route will start from Gatwick with some of the easyBoeings or easyBuses on order?
I flew the route several times from Luton with easyJet and the loads were always excellent!
Now time to get my keeper to paint my cage orange. easyBear, Bedfordshire's greatest tourist attraction!

Whilst on the subject of Euroceltic, what are the chances of them going jet in the foreseable future? I know WAT runway is not long enough to support anything major, but do they have any other destinations up their sleeves that would (maybe) warrant jet service. Lets face it, a F27 (although cheap)is long in the tooth now compared with say Barbie Jets or BAe's flying hairdryers (nee 146)...

Were looking at advancing to the 146 pre 9/11/01.
Hope to see the Fokker on the Olney 1 Bravo again shortly then, a darn site quieter over my cage than the RYR331 at 0710 every morning, (Then 1010, 1310, 1610, 1910 departures!).
Bears need to sleep!
Darts, I love darts! (Rolls Royce ones).

Looks like there doing what most airlines are doing at the moment, that is keeping a low profile. Whats the F27 costing them? is that leased from BAC or is it owned? If the loads were poor pre xmas on the LPL - LTN route, whats it gonna be like post xmas? As they say, only time will tell. Lets hope we dont have another airline go belly up this year.

If you take a closer look at the aircraft you will notice one of the engines missing. The c check was completed and the aircraft is awaiting a replacement engine, there was no room in the hangar so it was parked outside. As for the 146,s they belong to bae & are still being maintained under a storage program.Hopefully the F27 will beback in service soon.

The 2 F27's are owned by Euroceltic. GECAT has
been in EXT for a C check and is now waiting
for a new engine to arrive before it returns
to service.

Unable to book the route from Liverpool to Luton on their web site.....Very strange!
No matter what dates to select, it tells you no flights available. Really not very helpful!
