You can't open the cockpit windows on the 777?
I'm pretty sure you can see the wing tip if you stick your head out the window.

It's not difficult.

Saw That, Too

The pic tells us NOTHING, but the headline/caption screams, "During Take-Off." B.S. Press, again! Push back at perhaps, low-speed taxi at most. Why Do They Do This?:{:ugh:

Runway 18L has 2 parallel taxiways: Eastern and Western. Most wide-bodies park at the international and cargo apron which are east of 18L. Wide-bodies needing to depart 18L will use the eastern taxiway. A few years ago the eastern taxiway was closed for resurfacing. Rumour has it that the contract was awarded to a famous Oga who most likely has proceeded to use the funds acquire some choice properties := . The problem is that everything (parking stands, taxiway markings) on the western side of 18L was designed for turboprops e.g Medium jets have to steer wide of the yellow lines to park at the "GAT".
The HAK 737 should have been parked nose facing the taxiway but the genius who designed the parking stand forgot to provide a way into the stand so most aircraft in that area park nose in.
It was just a failure of several layers of safety. Unfortunately, aviation safety in this part of the world is greatly impeded by corruption, complacency and incompetence.

18L taxiways...

Small point of correction....... Runway 18L at DNMM has the Eastern and Central taxiways, there's no Western taxiway.

Must have been using the camera to monitor the main gear near the edge of the taxiway but I wonder how trustworthy the edges of taxiways are in a place like this. Seems risky.

Getting a marshaller somehow via company might be the best idea if things look tight.

Even more reason not to go so close to the edge of the taxiway.
