(Non-pilot treading warily)
Whilst you are scrabbling in the bin to recover the plastic, so that it doesn't go into landfill ... the 'lets save paper' idea sounds like ANY corporate body - civil service or not.

When the people making decisions, however minor, are divorced from the people that it affects - then this is what you get. At a minor level it's is the inconvenience and probable mishandling of your licence, at the major level it's losing millions of items of personal data or attacking a foreign country to remove weapons of mass destruction. I have seen commercial organisations make penny pinching savings that affected the daily working lives of their employees for years. They all do it.

I'm gutted! I was handed my new pages along with an ammendment to my license for which I had to recently attend the glass elevatored building. Nice breakfast by the way but I digress (worth mentioning the very reasonable cost of this though).

What a rude woman on the desk. The chap behind me had failed to take a number, so she berated him (the sign explaining the system is not clearly visible), and then took a while to decide if she could still serve him, even though there wasn't anybody in the queue behind him. I don't think she likes pilots very much. Funny place to choose to work. Perhaps it's for the breakfasts.

Does this mean I now will not be receiving the Christmas message about no static charge being applied for this service? It doesn't seem fair, I've paid my dues like the next pilot.

So now I am down one Christmas message, but up one sheet of paper, which I apparently now have to shred myself to fit, all of which is expected to be ratified by a cheap breakfast and a decent coffee. Well it's just not good enough I tell you!

Of course the chap behind you didnt take a number ...................... he was trying to save paper, joining in with the fun and games. The little plastic wallets should be kept for the next visit to the belgrano so that the next time you do take a number, you can present it to crusty knickers in a little plastic wallet, thus saving the authority the requirement of having to buy new ones because she undoubtedly will have to recycle it!!!!!

Can't be arsed to take scissors to my licence: no pride in it since they got rid of the green bootlace.
