I am sure that there is an element of face saving about the report but the fact that they have included the other parties comments means that they don’t mind us reading it. Perhaps an element of “We couldn’t possibly say this but you should hear it anyway”.
Of most interest was the very last page in which a faxed letter of response from the Egyptian CAA says “The ECAA requests the finding of the crew behaviour distractions and possible spatial disorientation be considered a possible contribution factor.” For the ECAA to highlight this finding suggests to me that they consider it to be the primary factor. |
