One cannot be 'guilty of paedophilia'; the latter is a form of sexual attraction that, unfortunately, one does not choose, but in most cases is able to contain. In this case, a person is guilty of sexually exploiting children.

For the second time this month, sentencing has been deferred due to Robertsons legal team walking out in frustration at his incessant lying. Hopefully justice will be served early next month.

The proposed date of sentencing can be monitored on the Scottish Court Service website.
From the list which the link below brings up, click on 'High Court of the Justiciary' and then on the link to 'Deferred Sentencing' from the new list displayed.
You will be given access to a Word document which details the miscellaneous business of the High Court on a weekly basis. For example, the document for the week commencing 4th August 2003 shows that Lord Reed was due to pass sentence on Robertson on 5th August (now further deferred as stated by Danny).
I guess checking each week for his name will give a heads up to anyone who has an interest in seeing what justice will bring to him.

Isn't about time that we stopped revelling in Robertson's ignomy?
It's over. Perhaps a note of his sentence whenever it comes will be of interest, but that aside, aren't we just a bit fed up of all this?

There are many,many reasons for keeping this thread alive. One of them is to highlight that these people are sometimes brought to book. If it makes you uncomfortable why read it?

Unbelivable story !!!...I think i've met the guy in the Bash 2001 at Stansted.Back then he was claiming that he could find me a job in an L-1011 immediately and was asking for my e-mail address.I thought the guy was not serious and i did'nt pay anymore attention as he kept speaking to others acompanying me.

as a student pilot (22 yrs) im new to this website, but am quite disturbed about things like this. i am married but no children and things like this quite frankly put me off having them.
they should make him clean runway 27R with a toothbrush on a busy day then hang him by the nuts from the tallest NDB

What a witch-hunt this is !
How does it make the aviation community a better place to be, if a documented paedophile is nailed in court ? I certainly applaud it, if this community and its central profiles has stood up to its civic duties and provided information that eventually may have lead to a criminal rightly ending up in prison. But apart from this individual being a nuisance to many on these forums, having a fake office in Prestwick and dealing in Tristars he has nothing to do with, I fail to see why child-molesting is a topic with the highest score on an aviation board.
I'm amazed about the British medieval-like mobs that nowadays turn up on my tv screen around alleged murderers and paedophiles. Now I am just as amazed to see that the pilot psyche - from which I really had expected something less primal - seems to be full of that same thing.
I'm a father of a junior of eight years. He is the apple of my eye, and he walks to school alone.
Sexual abuse of children is disgusting. But so is this thread.

Personally I think the above is a smack in the face to the forum members that aided in the reporting to the police/gathering evidence of this man.

I met Robertson several times, I was appalled by the extent to which he manipulated and deceived others in seeking to sustain his fantasies, and I detest any form of child abuse - physical, sexual, or spiritual. It lays waste to lives, depriving its victims of the inner peace and happiness that should have been their birth-right.
But I agree with Jan-Erik. I hope that many of those who have posted low-grade vitriol over the previous pages will examine their own souls, and consider the extent to which their contributions have added to our understanding of Robertson, human nature in general, and of aviation in particular.

Let's call it 'high grade vitriol' - I have chosen like many to stay quiet but believe me if I ever meet and/or find that individual again he will wish that prison is the best place for him...
