As Bramble said, it is frustrating for us cabin crew within the company who are dedicated to the cause. We try our best to give a good service to the pax, but at times the support from management is not there. The people I work with, the pilots and my cabin crew colleagues are a great bunch of people who are saddened and dismayed by another twist to the EI tale of woe as it is plastered over the front pages of all newspapers. We have huge problems at the moment and I hope that we overcome them and do so soon. I am one of the many people in the company who has a hefty mortgage and I have recently gotten married. Talk of closure is not welcome and is downright nasty. To those of you who have axes to grind with EI and who are willing their closure, just remember "there but for the grace of God go I", and that there are people who are being affected

"MICHAEL FOLEY, chief executive of Aer Lingus, was yesterday sacked from the Irish airline after sexual harassment allegations were made against him.
Mr Foley was effectively suspended from the state-backed airline a month ago after boardroom sub-committees studied allegations made by two female employees earlier this year. He has maintained that he is innocent throughout the controversy.
He is expected to receive 18 months salary, worth around IR£300,000. A spokesman said yesterday: "The committee of the board, having concluded that Mr Foley's position as chief executive is untenable, has decided to terminate his employment with immediate effect in accordance with his contract."
Two weeks ago, Mr Foley failed in his High Court bid to prevent the company disciplining him over the claims."
