Mallorca Plane crash

A Canadair Seaplane used by the military in Puerto Pollenca, Mallorca, crashed on Tuesday in the bay of Pollenca. It is used for firefighting and Air Sea Rescue.
Two sergeants in the back were killed, but both pilots survived although injured. It appears that the plane landed in the water then nosed over, breaking in half and sinking. They were out flying training missions and rescuing people from liferafts. The weather was sunny, little wind and a flat sea state. The accident happened just after 10:00 local time

How sad.

We have watched them practising water bombing for several years during family holidays and admired their skill.
