Don't they get bloody cold above 10,000 feet? That's a lot of people to have sat on one wing, anyway.
Personally I don't understand airline pilots. They're often heard complaining about how boring their jobs can be. But the moment anything exciting happens (like a mid-air) they're complaining about that, too! ;-D
