Robert Taylor RIP

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere. The prolific aviation artist Robert Taylor died peacefully at the beginning of January. There must be many contributors to Prune who at one time or another have owned a print by this remarkable artist.

Beamer,

Thanks for posting this information.

What a great artist and as a collector of several of his works, I had the honor of meeting him in the U.K. in the mid-1990s. He was as nice as he was talented.

Sad news indeed.
I am fortunate enough to have a few prints of his work and a couple of books of his art.
RIP.

RIP Robert Taylor. Visited him in Bath years ago. I have swirling skies in my study- themed circa 1940 - with many of his wondrous prints.

RIP Robert.
I have several of his WW2 prints and I commissioned him to paint “Concorde Formation “ from which we created 850 prints signed by Brian Walpole, Brian Trubshaw and, of course, by Robert. It hangs in my sitting room and always attracts attention from visitors to my home.
A charming man and a most talented artist.
A great loss.
