Passenger opens door on boarding Air Canada flight

Sounds to be one of the daftest passengers ever, what did he think he was doing? Wardrobe, toilet?
Some people shouldn't be allowed to roam free.

Local news just says "The man in question normally boarded the aircraft, a Boeing 777, but instead of going to his seat, he opened the cabin door at the opposite end of the plane. ... Peel [Region] police confirmed they were called to the scene and determined the man was in a state of crisis when the incident occurred and suffered relatively minor injuries. He was apprehended by police and transported to a local hospital for treatment."

Most reports state that he boarded and immediately open the door opposite the one via which he had entered.

Happened 5 days ago.

He didn't want to wait for the door to open itself?

I once had a passenger open an over wing exit because he wanted to insure he knew how to work it. Long delay!

Give it a rest guys. The article - and the police comments - clearly indicated that this chap had medical issues. He is very fortunate not to have been severely injured.

Mods: how about deleting this entire thread??
