Social Distancing on American Airlines

the Drudge Report has an article claiming that on at least one AA flight, the total passenger load, eleven, were made to sit in the last three rows rather than spread out for the social distancing needed because of the beervirus.

Reason given? They paid low fares and other seats had 'more legroom' and it would be an upgrade.

If this type of corporate thinking still exists, even after the max debacle, and even in the presence of the lowest aviation fuel prices in years, what hope can there be for their return to normal business?

Except that they weren't.

While that was indeed AAL policy, the F/As happily exercised some common sense and allowed the passengers to spread out.
