It was nicely done..the sight of the VC10s got to me. I suppose it would be rude to ask why they left out the the DH Comet. Even a token Comet 4 would have been a nice acknowledgment of a very important plane in British Airways' history without bringing up an unhappy memory directly.

probably because it’s 3 years old and predates the 380 entry.
.... which is still fat and ugly!

I'm taking my first flight on one on Wednesday, so that will make two of us together!

Why post a 3 years old commercial? Neither rumor nor news.

Well, for a passenger a fat aircraft is a good thing. Not sure how often you've flown in it but I've been flying in J and F since 2008 in them (SQ/MH/EK/BA) and it's streets ahead of the 747 for the pax experience.

212man,
Completely different in steerage. I had one flight on SQ from London to Singapore. Several times during the flight, I went to the toilet, not to use the facilities, but just to sit in a different position! I’ll never fly on one again in Economy.

A great video, but I did find the breathless commentary rather annoying. I liked the last scene with Concorde blasting through the fleet. I bet that generated a few RAs!

Well that would explain the absence of any of their A380s.

I could have sworn it was more recent, but you are perfectly correct. Some background: British Airways 'Aviators' by Bartle Bogle Hegarty
