There is a news of a Citation XLS VT-AVV landing accident at Aligarh , India. All onboard are safe. Aircraft burnt down completely.



Apparently hit HT electric cables on approach.

Time to buy a lottery ticket.

The runway was extended by 500mtrs before the landing threshold but was not declared operational due to high tension wires on the approach path which were being relocated. Apparently pilot didn't know it and made Approach to land before the operational threshold hitting those wires.

Fully expect that bit of information to be NOTAM’d.

It’s been a few years since I flew the XLS in India and can’t remember how clear the printed NOTAMs were!
