Correct and this one will have a short shelf life without arrestees and therefore fresh evidence not being released.
4 year old rehashes of Bellingcat's old hits wont cut it.

No further flow of data/ suspects from the East so this is as far as any "prosecution of the guilty" can go? surely?

I understand this is not a rehash but a major further step forward.
Previous announcements were about involvement of the Russian government, which has been more or less established but will forever be challenged by them.
This step is about involvement and accountability of actual persons. That as also along the line of the Lockerbie investigations and trials. Libya never accepted responsibility, however accepted responsibility for the actions of its official and payed millions of compensation.
That is the nearest you can get to an admission and satisfying outcome.

Yes, it's a milestone, and therefore worthy of comment.
But don't hold your breath for any further developments. There clearly won't be any extradition or arrests, the JIT still isn't going to get access to the crash site, and we're nowhere nearer knowing the how and why than we were last week or last year.
Other than that, pretty well everything that can be said about the act has already been said.
Quite frankly seeing Beliincat somehow linked in that indictment raises huge alarm bells.
And even if they actually managed to pin down the who (again I would be extremely prudent) the why is still pretty murky.
