Full story with source below.

Struggling Flybe has completed the sale of its assets to a consortium of buyers led by Virgin Atlantic.

The loss-making UK regional airline confirmed it has sold its assets and operations for £2.8 million to Connect Airways, a consortium consisting of Virgin Atlantic, Stobart and hedge fund Cyrus Capital.

They say one sale when in charge is bad luck but two is ——?. Employees be aware.

“Today’s confirmation of the sale of Flybe to Connect Airways secures an exciting future for our customers & employees as we continue to provide vital regional connectivity in the UK & beyond.

She and her chairman have presided over the destruction of £150m of shareholder value in under a year and she makes it sound like success? "Sorry that we right royally screwed it and everyone up" might be a more appropriate press statement today
'Lions led by Donkeys' comes to mind. I feel gutted for the staff with the worry and uncertainty they have had to endure this past year. Whilst it's great that the airline is still operational, the great staff deserve a whole lot better; hopefully the incoming owners will realise it and build a much more professional BoD - this lot have truly earned their own dismissal through their woeful lack of experience and professionalism. Credible CEO's please apply now. COW: Close to You? No thank you.

"Lions led by Donkeys"

Donkeys are not as stupid and inept as these people. Donkeys are warm, intelligent creatures, more so than a great many humans.
Have a great weekend at Stad de France.

Why do we have to go to Europe to find abysmal CEOs (eg Ourmieres, Fankhauser [Tommy cook], Cruz [BA]) - Hasn't the UK got any abysmal CEOs of its own?

Let's see what Kohn uncovers, assuming Hoskings get their way. They must have litigation in mind.

It will be interesting to see what routes are cut and what will happen to the Dash 8 fleet given all the problems it's had.

A220's and ATR's would be good
Nice new Jets and replacement of the "old" props that have got bad PR over the years
But unfortunately a single type only way forward at moment.
