Icelandair
Saw that live on Flightradar24 as a warning dropped down while playing scrabble.
Pretty impressive RoD and handy having just flown overhead the diversion airfield (Bagotville). A quick left hand down and
descending turn to land on the easterly runway. It was all over in a matter of minutes and must have been a bit exciting for the pax!

The 757 has a long history of problems with the window heat system resulting in windshield cracks and fires.
If the window is not deformed and an air leak is not observed you can press on with the window heat off according to the QRH. Given the urgency of the descent, I wonder if there was a leak in this case.
Years ago there was some verbiage about trying to identify which layer was shattered but that seems to have been removed from the procedure.
