Bees delay flight

Maybe not environmentally friendly, but what would have happened if they just started the engine?

some bees might not survive

The majority will exit out the fan discharge. Whatever the areas will bear in the internal engine probes will be packed solid to mess up the FADEC etc. signals.

What they do with the captured bees without a queen is another matter best left for JetBlast.

Can't do that outside a hive (which a swarm doesn't have) - Queens have to be specially reared from the larval stage. Without a queen, workers will most likely drift off and join other colonies.
(Sorry - I used to keep bees...)
