Korean Air and Asiana at Seoul

A Korean Air Boeing 777-2B5ER, HL7764, sustained substantial damage to the rear underside of the fuselage after being struck by an Asiana Airlines Airbus A330 at Seoul-Gimpo Airport, South Korea.

A330 was being towed onto stand in heavy rain and fog.

Asiana 330's seem to have a knack of going for parked aircraft. But kudos to Airbus for such a well made winglet.

The aircraft was under tow.
It was not during taxi . Pilots not to account for blame on this one, but rather ground crew.

They almost got me in Singapore. I've never seen a wingtip from so close up before, or since. Some words were said on Singapore ground that had probably never been used there before.
