Tu-22 overrun after above V1 reject

Looks like a very late reject just before rotation, according to the source due to a malfunction of the airspeed sensors. Reasonably lucky outcome.

Jesus christ! What were they thinking?
Time they threw the chutes there was a couple of hundred meters of runway remaining, if that. Regardless of a dodgy AI i'd have taken it into the air and dealt with it there. Daylight conditions and weather looked fairly good so it shouldn't have been a issue.
A lucky escape, if indeed they did escape.
