I cannot get my head around the fact that this is genuine and not shot in a sim as some sort of prank?
How he would get enough time alone to get to that state of dress without the FO walking in and having a fit ? surely it must be a prank shot in a ground based sim

You might want to wipe down the yoke and throttles if you are flying these aircraft.
Guess he got confused about which joystick does what.
All of a sudden those white gloves worn by Asian crews (ANA?) start making sense....

This can not be for real!

I know there are some weirdos but you would have thought that some one in his position would realise that being caught would mean the end of his career with BA.

Will BALPA give him any legal support?

Well according to the Sun, "airline expert" Chris Yates says it's definitely a real flight deck and not a sim.

He also helpfully tells us that spanking the monkey on the flight deck while dressed in women's stockings "is very dangerous if the plane is in mid-flight".

He was taking the photos?

But in all seriousness, you can see the red line on the captain's leg where the sock elastic was just recently, so it couldn't have been all that long. Kick off the shoes and socks and remove pants. Snap photo.

The scary part is the guy planned this in advance and came to work wearing the stockings. I could understand if it was just a spur of the moment thing, but this?

Yes, of course I do. Whenever I try these types of things with women around, it doesn't go over so well. I can only draw on my own experience.

How many lbs of force on the yoke does it take to disengage A/P on the 777? That's the only thing I'd be worried about, with his feet on it. On certain smaller aircraft you can just engage the mechanical gust lock and no real worries when engaging in mischief. So I have heard...

Incidentally, I would refer back to the heading of this thread .... was the pilot suspended for wearing stockings (no pun intended but enjoy it if you like) or was it because of his actions when wearing them?

I know that the BA interview is tough but it looks like I will at least be able to score extra points by being honest with my hobbies...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToWwiu1HUBU

While the video is cut short, I would assume that BA's response will be same with...."I'm afraid that golf is not very popular around here".
