Some tried to bump off Ahmed Shah Masood, the anti-Taliban leader, the other day. Could be payback. Didn't think the CNN journo hugely convincing but I could be wrong.

All the indications we get over here, and the news is full of the dreadful happenings of today, is that the mayhem in Kabul is anti-Taliban factions having a go.
