Shoreham Hunter Crash

Just seen this news flash.

Anyone got any idea what the "second incident"[1] might have been?

PDR

[1] and given that the second incident apparently preceded the first by a year or so, are they suggesting time lords were responsible?

My first guess (and it is a pure guess) would be the Jet Provost incident. I saw my life flash before my eyes somewhat that day.

So? That's his car. He has a car commensurate with the lifestyle his salary affords him. What's he supposed to do? "I've had a plane crash - better downgrade the car!"

Porsche Boxster (sp Chronus ) crap, I would have hoped at least a 911, preferably a turbo/gt3 . . . . .

WTF does that have to do with anything, happy for him that whatever injuries he had (including concussion ? ) are sufficiently ameliorated to enable him to be mobile.

Cannot imagine why he didn't eject (unless the discussions about parts out of date are the obvious reason. . . hope not ) & I don't really think we should be headed down this route of crucifying him.

I doubt very much that he planned to plant it, and, if the previous "incident" is seen as a precedent, well, all very well to be fine & clever after the event, but, if someone knowledgable saw it (v likely ) he should have been taken aside & told that he needed a bit of "recurrent" to remind him how to do this steely eyed daring stuff safely. As usual perhaps, some saw/some thought , but no-one took the trouble to address it (including him perhaps) Very difficult to acknowledge ones own weaknesses / drop off in performance . . .very difficult, but it would be nice to think that (if it is found to be applicable ) someone might have had a quiet word in his shell-like to suggest a bit of recurrent training. No loss of face/bruised ego on their part, and sometimes (all of us ) need an external intervention in life to tell us we need to be "helped" (in whatever capacity in life is the problem at the time )
