I'm sure there was a "do not walk here sign" where he jumped.

As soon as Manuel saw the on-board food and drink pricing, on the menu of the LCC he was travelling on, he was heard to say ... "No way!!! - I'm outta here!!!"

There are 2 odd things about that picture (other than the 'jumper'!)

[1] Is that a fire/crash truck in the background? If so, there may be a legit reason for the 'jumper'....

[2] If an over-wing exit was opened, why didn't the slide deploy?

There's a background story somewhere here.

Because they aren't fitted to many aeroplanes that have low wings and exits over the wing itself. The pic looks like a B737, they certainly don't have slides at the over wing, you just exit onto the wing and the intention is that you slide down the back of the wing to escape.

..... And the drill is to select Flap 40 before calling for an evacuated if possible to give you a decent slide...

Plane is evacuated after passenger activates emergency slide, shouts 'bomb'... then flees by jumping from wing
