Holiday jet fumes left crew unconscious

Interesting article here: Holiday jet fumes left crew unconscious - The Local

An investigation is underway after a holiday jet filled with such bad fumes that one of the pilots wore an oxygen mask when landing the flight from Hamburg to Gran Canaria.

Bit of a cntradiction in the 'Accident' Report.

The other crew members and passengers did not report feeling unwell
The report then goes on to say

Passengers described a strong odour of oil fumes throughout the flight, they felt unwell with head aches and dizziness.

Presumably that means the passengers didn't report any problem to the crew during the flight but did when questioned later.

That's not necessarily a contradiction or evidence of a compensation culture.

It's very common in some industries (eg hotels) for people not to complain while something can be done about a problem, they just moan later to their friends or on their favorite travel blog/site.

Yeah, sorry about that. I can't remember if it was the baked beans, the pickled onions, the cabbage or all 3 that caused it...
