PIA in trouble? As its bank accounts have been frozen by the (FBR)
Oh dear it looks like the Pakistan Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has frozen Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) bank accounts due to non payment of taxes.
All flights from Pakistan to the UK (LHR, BHX, MAN & LBA) have been removed from the airlines website and taken of sale this afternoon. Reports elsewhere suggest that this maybe temporary move....

PIA have also cancelled their lease of five A320 aircraft from Jetstar Asia. The first aircraft was due to be delivered tomorrow and they have cancelled today for the third time since negotiations began. They were due to replace the 733s that they have on the fleet.
