bmi have received US government approval to share anti-trust immunity with United on LHR to US routes. They are now calling on the UK government to do the same.

Great! All they have to do now is find some slots at LHR for the USA services then wait for the US dept of justice to demand 60% of them for the exclusive use of US carriers in the name of 'competition'!

slots not a prob to bmi... theyll just pack up a couple of other rotations. far more money from 1 transatlantic slot than 3 x teesside!

Are you sure about that gpilot?
I am no expert but I thought that shorter/more sectors was more profitable than longer/fewer sectors given appropriate loads etc.
