Post Channex Emergency at LGW

Just watched a Channex F.27 return from flight to LGW with fire trucks rolling. Couldn't see the nature of the problem though. Certainly nothing was actually burning. Anyone?

I saw an a/c which I thought was an F27 fly over my house in Poundhill, Crawley (3 miles SE of LGW) at approx. 1530. Appeared to be between 1000 - 1500 ft agl, heading north-east. Possible positioning for a visual left base 26L.

I hope for his sake it wasn't the same FO who had an uncontained engine fire at Jersey on his first line training flight.
