Nothing yet on Russian links, but the BBC has this:

"A Russian passenger plane has crashed in northeast Russia, killing all 24 people on board.

The Ilyushin-18 was travelling from Khatanga in Siberia to Moscow's Domodedovo airport when it dropped off radar screens shortly before 0930 local time (1830 GMT), the Interfax news agency quoted the Russian Emergencies Ministry as saying.

It came down in the village of Kalyazin, in the northern Tver region.

The pilots had not signalled any problems, according to the ministry.

A rescue team is reported to be at the scene. They have found wreckage in the woods.

The Ilyushin IL-18 is a four-propeller aircraft able to seat around 100 passengers.

According to the Aviation Safety Network, an independent group that keeps data on air disasters, the model has been in 79 crashes since 1960.

The plane had been chartered by a company called Irsaero, said Rustam Khalimov, an official at Domodedovo airport."

The latest rumours:
At cruising level (about 210) the autopilot has disconnected itself, but NO ONE pilot was fastened with the seat belts! and no one could control the airplane...
