Only this, copyright Associated Press:

"A British West Indies Airways jet ran off the runway after a bumpy landing at Miami International Airport.

None of the 120 passengers aboard the MD-80 was injured, BWIA spokesman Clint Williams said Wednesday. The Tuesday flight was from Guyana.

"The pilot's landing was not executed well,'' Williams said. He said the pilot then decided to let the slowing plane run into soft sand off the runway.

The passengers took buses to the terminal while the jet was towed back for examination, said Marc Henderson, an airport spokesman.

Williams said the airline was investigating the plane's landing. He said the airline did not believe the plane's nose landed first because it did not sustain any damage.

"I suspect that he probably did put it down hard but I don't think he put it nose first,'' Williams said.

The airline replaced two front landing tires because it had landed in dirt at the end of the runway. Williams said the plane was inspected and returned to service on Wednesday."
