Talking HF Radio

In my small Company but growing fast we need a good HF radio station in FLT OPS.
Any info where to get one and how much they cost would be very much appreciated.

Cool

do you really consider this seriously? How about Acars...very reliable and extremly useful. The only downside...no telephone calls home...

ACARS users are rarely the people who see the bills. Wonderful equipment but the last quote I saw from ARINC was 17 cents per byte so this page of PPRuNe would pay for a slap up meal somewhere rather posh.

Very dificult within small companies to get these costs past the beancounters even if the flightdeck equipment was given away free. They can't see specific spreadsheet friendly advantages to offset the costs.

But enough of this carefree banter - this one is off to the Questions forum.
