Post Cathay 2nd officer position

Just received my 2nd officer application from CX. I've read the info in the site, but does anyone have any recent info. about interview process and 2nd officer general info....?. .Heard that FAA license holders can log the time in the seat as official SIC time, is this true? otherwise 2 years in this position might be a complete waste of time.. .Any info much appreciated.

Not sure, but I thought there was a ban on it because CX fired tens of pilots in a unjustifiable way.

The ban should force CX to re-employ those colleagues.

I wonder what time you want to log, since you don't get type-rated! But hey, most SO's (other company though) I know enjoy it anyway!

Ciao,
