MD-83 ,full ship, night,damp runway, runway ends in sea, hit ducks in the middle of rotation. Thoughts of deadstick ditching in T/O config added many grey hairs to crew.
They now eat duck at every opportunity, but have not really dented the duck population.

DAMAGE -
Given the inner-to-outer damage, extending the circumference of the fan, I'd like to see the flight of birds that can do damage such as this. Frozen, perhaps.
The bird strike damage previously cited was limited to one location, catastrophic, however.
