Exclamation AI and Boeing to help out BA

Both Boeing and Airbus Industrie appear close to completing renegotiated delivery/finance packages for BA aircraft. In the wake of major order cancellations both manufacturers see BA as a key future customer. The British order for 50 single aisle Airbus a/c is seen as the thin end of the wedge by the Europeans, who have many BA A319s at various stages of build. The American order cancellations/deferments for A320 and A300 cargo aircraft have already resulted in the transfer of many production personnel onto the A380.A300 production will be suspended for nine months after which the huge American cargo order will see restoration of full production.
My question is what are BA going to do with all these A318/9/20s when they are delivered?

Talking

Airtours could lease them. AIH were supposed to be doing a fleet renewal in 2002/3. They could also maintain them in the old BA maintenance hangar at MAN!

Just a thought!

... is due to BA replacing the B757 with the A319 ..... B757s sold and history.
A great shame. I love riding in the 757. It looks great, whether on the ground or in the air, a very graceful machine. The rotation and climb out feel wonderful too.
