Question Does where you train effect your employability?

I originally posted this in the wannabes section however i'd like to get a feel from a wider audience and see what you think...(forgive me if you don't feel it's relevant here)

I was wondering with all the different schools available, in the uk, states and spain - does it make a big difference to your employability where you are trained? For example would chief pilots prefer someone trained at OATS because of it’s reputation and your experience flying in english airspace/weather to someone who learnt in the (sunny?) US or spain?

Moved to Wannabes, sorry but R&N is too busy for this sort of thing.
