Lion Air - loses wheel at Juanda Airport, Surabaya
Hi every one,
Does any one have news about an Indonesian carrier which lost a wheel yesterday (Tuesday)?

Batavia Air incident
Reports on 20 October incidents in Indonesia. No information on Batavia Air incident but they did have a tyre incident some months ago
Merpati Air and Lion Air Experienced Broken Tire
Today, a Merpati Air aircraft en route Makassar – Timika burst its tire whilst taking off at SultanHasanuddinAirport in Makassar, South Sulawesi. However, there were no reports of casualties.
Also today, a Lion Air aircraft en route Jakarta – Surabaya experienced a loose wheel while landing at JuandaAirport in Surabaya, East Java. There were no reports of casualties.

JAKARTA, INDONESIA - ONE of the tyres of an Airbus A320 operated by private Indonesian company Batavia Air burst upon landing on Sunday but none of the 147 people on board was injured, a report said.
The incident took place as the jet, which had left Jakarta's Sukarno-Hatta airport, landed at the Polonia airport in Medan, North Sumatra, at around 10am (0300 GMT), the state Antara news agency said.
The plane was carrying a crew of seven and 140 passengers, Antara said.
The Batavia Air office at the airport and the officer in charge there declined immediate comments.
Antara quoted one of the passengers as saying the plane had circled above the city for about an hour before landing and that the crew had informed those on board that there was a problem.
The accident led to the airport being closed to flights for a time as the plane was sitting on the runway, Antara said.
Indonesia has seen a series of deadly air crashes in recent years. An Adam Air jet plunged into the sea off Sulawesi island on January 1, 2007 killing all 102 people on board and a Garuda jet crashed in Central Java in March of the same year, killing 21. -- AFP

Thank you for the news. I was mistaken about Batavia Air , I saw on TV about the Merpati aircraft in Makassar, but I could not understand Bahasa. Later, my domestic helper said that she saw on TV that an aircraft reported to lose a wheel in Surabaya, East Java. She was sure it was in Surabaya.
Can't believe it on the same day, (20 Oct), Lion Air loses a wheel at Juanda Airport in Surababya.
