Beeb reporting suspension of flights from Luton

Comment that Swanwick has 'lost all contact' . . .
NATS state problem with datalink to all major southern airports.

Got ops SMS saying NATS lost radar and all departures suspended

Now just another - departures resuming shortly with flow restrictions of 1 per 5 minutes - and that was Heathrow - was sitting in hotel room on standby - I wonder hmmmm ....

Retired ATC John Bulwell interviewed on BBC Radio Five Live suggested it might 'take some time' to fix so 'expect delays' for departures . . .

last I heard ot was a data link failure, lhr was down to 1 departure every 5 mins. I think its back up and running now... hit the bar...good luck
