Thumbs down BA plane returns to LHR after mayday-call

Being in LHR this morning, heard a BA aircraft making a mayday-call after smokedetection in the cargo area.
Has someone more information?

Other than that it landed safely a few minutes later, no!

That about sums it up. Aircraft taxied to stand with fire engines all around, passengers disembarked via the jetty, fire services and engineering left to investigate.

Believe it was a cargo smoke warning.
