It appears that AvHerald just took its "news" from PPrune.... The corporate crew that watched the takeoff never spoke to any newspapers !

I'm looking more for any information on why the a/c was ferry flying to JKT for a #1 eng change, then it was the #1 engine that let go, uncontained, on take-off ex-Jeddah.
There's a lot of emotion in that other thread mutt. I'm hoping to glean some facts on the situation of the Jeddah uncontained engine failure.
