Post Ansett value cut by two-thirds

I'll leave the details to be scrapped over in Dunnunda and Godzone, but Ansett Holdings is now estimated to be worth just NZ $450 million (140 million UK pounds), which is a write-off of NZ $850 million since Air NZ brought it. Not bad going in only a couple of years - shows what a really determined team of management consultants and bean counters can do.

Not surprised if the flight up to Cairnes on monday is anything to go by. My tour party were definately unimpressed compared to internal flights in the UK.

The Irish can beat that!

Aer Lingus valued at £600M IEP in March;

Government minister "in charge" (hah!) offering to flog it for £300M IEP in June.

50% devaluation in eight weeks.

Stunnin' eh?
