Possible VS Incident at TAB?

Spoke to a friend this morning whom I was supposed to be meeting at Gatwick coming in on VS052 from TAB.

Now, her words were "The plane caught on fire!".

I asked her for clarification because there was nothing on the news and it sounded a bit far fetched. Apparently some luggage caught on fire and the flight has been cancelled (cancellation confirmed on VS website). All pax put in local hotel(s) for the night.

Anyone have any further details?

Cool

The VS77 went via there to pick up some pax and subsequently 4 hours late into MAN.

I believe it was an indication problem and not real.

She arrived today and still cannot tell me what happened and is throwing wild accusations. I assumed that it was an indication problem from the start. I can find out for sure on Monday.
