Devil Metal under runway?

N707-NS. Ja! 6x1000 kg bombs from World War II Heinkel 111s. We fitted max delay timers. Perhaps 2008-2009. Whoosh - docks gone!

My solution has always been to wrap yourself in tin foil when looking at the SID pages in your Jepperson manual.
Note, some research at MIT reveals the traditional tin foil hat,

may be counter-productive:

Degaussing? Wouldn't be that expensive to organise, surely?

Kind of obvious, isn't it? Why wouldn't they just do that or rather did they try repeatedly with no luck? TMA-0 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Monolith), Clarke clearly got the location wrong, cue music.

Sounds like your plot has just been foiled!

Milan Linate was the same back in the days of the Trident. The odd compass warning on take-off.

Mind you following the SID was always difficult, that is the vertical profile with minimum heights to clear the alps!
