Wx avoiding and hail at EGSS
Just wanted to say thank you to those who flew into SS last night just after midnight and were caught in the hail and/or subsequent vectoring. Your quick responses, paitience, and co-operation were very much appreciated by the controller i.e me!

Yes..great service!
Did a lot of PT flights (G3/4 - 733) through SS between '78 and 02.... never encountered ATC other than 100% professional in every way. Belated thanks to all previous and current SS controllers. Happy New Year to all.. bm

I was in one of the ac going around. We got WINDSHEAR AHEAD -GO AROUND call by the EGWPS on final approach. Yes, it turned pretty hectic suddenly with an ac below us going around at about the same time and the radio not working (I gues the wx blocket it some how). Also thanks to you guys in ATC for your excellent work/assistance - as always in STN.
Happy New Year!
