near miss over Germany today?

Heard something on the radio where a safety expert was interviewed. Unfortunately, I only caught the end of the interview. Sounded like there had been a near miss yesterday or today, but google and press agency search revealed nothing.

That's why it was a near miss and not an accident

We're still interested in any factual details though....

Pardon for jumping in, but since this thread already has Jet Blast written all over it...

Lightbulb

I guess you refer to the dust raised by a general news release produced by the German BFU (accident investigation branch) about near misses over Germany since 2005. One between a 737 and a Tornado in September 2006 near EDNY was emphasised.

There were many news reports about this the day the thread starter mentions. Think he just misunderstood the news reports to be something "today".
