Balad Attacks
As the crew were waiting to have their aircraft loaded. The airfield came under attack when 3 - 4 mortars landed close to the cargo ramp where the plane was parked.. At the same time the front Guard gate to the airfield was raided by the enemies and a big gun fight broke out with the US troops.. The 727 DHL crew and military personnel ran to the shelters for safety.. Looks like pretty soon all locations in Iraq are going to have to pay the flight crews $250.00.
