Cool

I've heard that one of the aircraft will be used - but not that CargoLion itself is restarting. Apparently, they were planning on using a Ghana AOC - which might not be a good idea given the present investigation into MK and the Ghana CAA!

Question

By the way, how come the GCAA is still rated "Category 1" in the FAA's IASA program ?

If Ghana loses this rating, I wonder if many operators will still want to maintain an AOC down there.

Good luck to the 'Lion people anyway, they deserved much better.

Red face

Thanks God this forum is called "Rumours ...".

It is quite interesting to read here what I'm supposed to be doing.

Just to make it official: Cargo Lion is no longer and I'm currently not planning to start another aviation business. In fact I'm now earning my living in a totally different sector.

There are some people trying to start up ex OST with a DC8-62F but it isn’t an ex Cargo Lion aircraft. I've been contacted by them regarding crews and maintenance. But so far to my knowledge there has been no formal go-ahead.

Kind regards and a Merry Christmas

Stratocaster, Ghana will lose their Cat 1 rating at the next review to be published early in the new year.

Good Luck BeePee for the future in whichever venture you next take on. Your girls from the AMS A310 contract are hoping for something similar in the future!

Cheers,

Starship.

Sorry BP, they would not let me post what we all think. Regards and keep up the faith..

Talking

Merry Christmas All,

irish laddie, Yes it was us on Sky Truckers. Back in the good old times.

Alapt, thanks for your support. I’m quite glad that pprune ‘censored’ postings such as palebird’s. I still managed to keep a printout for my lawyer before they took it off…

Max Pointers, do I sense some irony here?! Won’t be necessary – it’s not publicly traded. Anyway, history of 2001 has shown that aviation is a difficult turf to do business at the moment. For a while I will do non-aviation business to make up for what we lost.

Anyway, it’s Christmas and that’s a time for positive thinking and tolerant spirits. To all who read this I wish the very best Seasonal Greetings and neutral regarding race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith, choice of computer platform, or sexual preference of the wishee.

BeePee

Question

I have heard a lot about the sky truckers documentary but alas the USA has yet to show it here. Is there anyone who might be willing to burn a copy of it and send it? I will pay for the tape and shipping obviously.
