Emirates A/C diverts due to hallucinating F/O
Has anybody got any more info on the Emirates airbus enroute to Dubai forced to divert to Vienna last night after the F/O drifted in and out of consciousness during cruise along with experiencing some hallucinations.

At EK we are all drifting in and out of consciousness due to our maximum FTLs... 900 hours (illegally factored to over 1000) +/year with extra sim duties on top, minimum turn arounds with no respect for time zones... The BBC should have looked elsewhere for their fatigue story.

How does the fact that he was hallucinating make it into the public forum? I would have hoped that sort of info would be kept personal
Are you confirming it as fact?

The original post was termed in such a way as to indicate that it was fact not conjecture.

hallucination
See the aerotoxic association thred on medical and health. Halucination is a not unusual result of exposure to pyrolised engine oil. The cure, a different oil has been possible since the middle of the last century. Then theres the airlines that believe it ok to expose crew and staff to hazardous chemicals without checking that what they are doing is safe (see 13th report of parliamentary select committee for transport).
Keeping such matters 'closed shop' does not promote safety or end the abuse of pax and crews.
