Talking Good News!! New 737 Airline!

Picking up from a topic started on the 'BWA Go Bust' thread, this surely Warrens (sic) its own thread.

It seems to be more than a rumour that the ex-CEO of BWA and some other people with associations with that airline will be setting up a new 737 operation in the Spring of 2002.

If true, this is certainly great news for those who stand to be out of work following BWA's demise. Even more fortunate that the organizers of the new airline had the foresight, earlier this year, to see the gap in the market that would be created at this time.

Does anyone have any more information?

When one door closes, another opens!

Yes great if some ex BWA guys find jobs.
They must be very clever people if they manage to secure some IT work soon.
Still with BWA gone and one less competitor I suppose it makes things a little easier for them.
Great work guys.

Since you choose to start a new thread founded upon my post on the 'BWA Go Bust' thread, do please have the courtesy to quote me so that others may follow your drift.

I repeat my post below.

"Dear All

You must make of this what you will, I’m afraid:

I do not suggest for a moment that anything untoward or illegal has been done here. However, my heart truly goes out to all the loyal and dedicated employees who have given so much to BWA. I suspect you deserve much better than you have received. "

    Holt CJ,

    Apologies, Old Boy!

When I started to compose my 'Starter for 10' I had not read your post, merely a few sketchy comments from people who had got a sniff of what was in the air.

You clearly have the detailed gen., so, over to you.

I think that the plot is thickening.

    Cheers!

    Apology gratefully and heartily accepted.

I placed the above information into the public arena so that others may now seek 'the detailed gen.', so to speak.

Methinks the plot began thickening more than a year ago in fact.

It is high time that our Parliamentary legislators took steps to prevent such antics, don't you think? The greater good, and all that? :o

Surely it's not important who posted what first. What is important are the decent employees who have been so badly let down by the management of the Company who all promised that BWA would be a far better Company with their expertise and commitment. Nice timing guys!

Precisely, black beauty, precisely. And timing is the nexus of understanding what has really been going on behind the scenes, is it not?

Since this is where I suspect the most interesting discussions will take place, I've taken the liberty of duplicating my latest post from the BWA Goes Bust thread...

I would say that this is looking like a rather planned failure - especially as the process of applying for an AOC and Operating Licence is one that takes anything up to a year.

Getting a company up and running with 5 x 737s by next spring is not something that happens overnight - and is certainly not something that could happen if the process was only started yesterday.

Some interesting legal aspects arise - and perhaps Holt CJ could advise on them: if it were known by directors of a company that their existing company was insolvent or about to become insolvent, and they were involved in a new company which was being in effect set up to continue the existing business without its liabilities, then (a) where would that leave them vis-a-vis the creditors (including employees) of the existing company - who must surely be in a weakened position; and (b) if business that should have gone to the existing company is, in fact, being channelled to the new company - is this legal?

Finally, should persons involved in such activities be allowed to act as CAA Postholders?

I do not believe that any employees of the sadly demised BWA have ever done down the company, we all liked it far too much for that. I feel the truth will out much more quickly than we could ever hope, or some would believe possible

look, you lot, get real. BWA has gone, (who cares if it's BWA or BWL) The receivers are in, the aircraft are impounded, the staff are redundant. Lets stop all the crap, To all you BWA employees out there, go look for work, you will find it, but don't expect some miraculous company to form overnight to pick up the peices this time, it isn't going to happen. God bless you all ...

Guv if you can do it then so can I, that is repro a posting in another thread, so here goes -
Guv, just because you couldn't set up an Airline up in three months doesn't mean that it can't be done, because it can. Apart from which you're a fine one to be talking about insolvency because your're a crook as many, who've had the misfortune to have dealings with you, sadly know to their cost !
Which puts me in mind of the expression "What's sauce for the goose, etc" in that if you think that there may have been some infringement of the rules, which might then call into question an AOC application (which it won't) then surely somebody with your, how shall I put this ?, 'colorful' background is almost certain to never rise above the 'directorship' of their pathetic virtual airline - how's that going by the way ? Oh that's right, it's not, is it ?!

As such I suggest you stick to your dreams you ****, and stop ripping people off too !

Moses, I have no opinion of the Guv either way and believe me I know a thing or two about this business, but what the Fúck is the point of trying to discuss whats going on at British World if you are going to 7500 anything that he contributes to, this isnt the time, you are just spoiling an excellent thread. If you want to carry on spouting start your own thread, BB or whatever, and dont spill my pint on your way to the door.

I do not know what is legal or what is correct, so all below is "alleged"
One of our bosses started giving business away to other airlines and warding off any new business going to BWA, by implying it could be touch and go that there will be any BWA soon,BUT he is a director of this new company which is touting for work
So make of this "allegation" what you will but as I said on 'BWA goes bust' I have just finished working with the finest and funniest group of guys and girls in aviation.
